I look back at this day, 10th November, 25 years back in 1999 when I took oath as a member of the legislative assembly (MLA) from Manthani for the first time in the hallowed portals of the AP Assembly where my father Late Duddilla Sripada Rao garu presided as the Speaker.
I had very big shoes to fill, my father represented Manthani three times as MLA and went on to adorn the coveted Speaker’s position from 1991-1995. In this transformative political journey of 25 years I have held various positions within the party and in the government. I thank the people of Manthani from the bottom of my heart, they are the reason I have been able to represent Manthani thrice in the AP Legislative Assembly and twice in the Telangana Legislative Assembly.
I thank the Congress party, CPP Chairperson Smt Sonia Gandhiji, our beloved leader and LOP in the Lok Sabha Sri @RahulGandhi ji, AICC President Sri Mallikarjuna @kharge ji, Smt @priyankagandhi ji for the opportunity to serve the people from the Congress party. I want to thank the three Congress Chief Ministers in whose cabinet I served as Minister, I thank Sri Revant Reddy garu the CM of Telangana, PCC President Sri Mahesh Kumar Goud garu, my colleagues- senior and junior in the cabinet and in the party, my family, friends, well-wishers, party workers and everyone else who supported me in this political journey of mine for the last 25 years. — D.SRIDHARBABU, Telangana State IT Minister
